this is one of my favorite books of all time. i have read it a number of times and learn something new from it every single reading. i know this kind of book is a little out of the genre of stuff we usually read but i think it will improve our lives for the better. give it a chance.

I wanted to know how everyone's reading is going? I actually got side tracked from Jane Eyre and started reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society on my weekend mainland trip without the keiki. That book is fantastic! If you are looking to find a good, fun, fast read, I highly recommend it.
Is it just me or is this month crazy? I am hoping things will slow down, but that does not look too promising. This doesn't mean, though, that I wouldn't love to get together with you ladies. We could just do some sort of ice cream night at my house and just sit around and talk story. How does that sound with everyone? What nights work for you all?
I hope everyone is enjoying this holiday season. Happy Christmas, friends!

So, in the midst of Stephanie's crazy blood clot illness, Liko's full-time job, my Bookmobile getting up and running, Echo's pregnancy and running a million miles, and Stef J.'s throwing up sessions, (amongst other things with our other members too!) we all still belong to a BOOK CLUB! And I haven't forgot (thanks Echo for the friendly reminder...:)) that it's my month to pick a book, even though the month is way more than half-way over. Like the rest of you, I'm sure, I've just been plowing my way through this crazy time of life, without looking up and taking a breath. Just trying to get through the territory. But today it stops. At least for a minute. So on this Friday afternoon, after working all morning and, in a few short minutes, will be bombarded with taking on my five niece and nephews for a sleepover, I am taking a short breather and am attempting to write down a book to enjoy this holiday season. My pick for this month is...

Hey Ladies =)
I would loooove to hang out next week Tuesday, but I would really hate it for Stephanie and Stef J to be the only ones to have to make the long drive over to Kaneohe. We can totally cancel this one and just save up energy for the next get together. As much as I wanna see your beautiful faces, I know that it can get really hard to do these kinds of things. I know we all have things that come up. This week is really tight for me too. My mother in law (as Im sure Liko already knows-- since she works with her...hehehe), is going to Utah today and will not return until next week Wednesday or Thursday. She is our babysitter on Mondays and Fridays and the occasional Wednesdays, so Im working really long hours on the days that I can and taking off early on the days that she would've watched Ava. Because of these long hours (Tuesday and Thursday of next week), it's really hard for me to move my schedule around. I did it for Tuesday, but I dont think I have any more room to move things around to accomadate the book club for another day =( Im sorry Chicas. Im bummed, but lets take a break this month and re-vamp for next months book =) Hopefully I'll see you all sooner than later. I get off early tomorrow, friday, next week monday and wednesday, so if you all wanna hang out, just text me =)
