September read!!!

Holy Smokes! I havent been keeping up and just realized that I have the september read....well, I've got a really good one for you. I just found this author last month, and I've already read three of his books that are translated to English. He's a Spanish author and he is amazing. His books are very gothic and always seems to walk a fine line of becoming a ghost story.

So, without further ado, I present the September read for your literary pleasure:

Book description from amazon.com--

'It's war time, and the Carver family decides to leave the capital where they live and move to a small coastal village where they've recently bought a home. But from the minute they cross the threshold, strange things begin to happen. In that mysterious house still lurks the spirit of Jacob, the previous owners' son, who died by drowning.

With the help of their new friend Roland, Max and Alicia Carver begin to explore the strange circumstances of that death and discover the existence of a mysterious being called the Prince of Mist--a diabolical character who has returned from the shadows to collect on a debt from the past. Soon the three friends find themselves caught up in an adventure of sunken ships and an enchanted stone garden--an adventure that will change their lives forever.'

Don't be put off by the description and the fact that its under the 'young adult' category. It's a more toned down version of his other books, but it's a really quick read that will keep you hooked from the first chapter. It's full of mystery and suspense with enough of that literary element to keep your brain tickled. And, it has a twist at the end. I LOVE books that have a twist at the end =)

I hope you all are able to check this one out. Im excited to hear how you liked it and what you got from it. I dont know what we'll be doing as far as a get together is concerned, but I'll keep you updated and post that later.
