i picked up a copy of captain blood at the byuh library today (after acquiring a most delightful student alumni id card-- and when i say delightful i am referring to the picture on the id) and it looks so cool (once again, the book, not the id, i cannot stress that enough- haha)!
the copy i got looks like it was published when the book came out in 1922-- it is old, and dusty, and ancient and for some reason that makes reading a pirate book all the more fun.
so i am starting tonight- ahoy.

i love reading from old books. so true, it will make your reading more authentic. i am a little jealous. plus i love the smell of old books. strange i know, but they just smell so good.
no no, i agree. last night i took like three deep wiffs of the book and said, "ahhhhhh, thomas dont you just love that??"
You guys are friggen hilarious. I'm stoked you're reading this book. I found it randomly at the BYUH bookstore one day and couldn't read it fast enough. It has to be one of the best pirate books...seriously underrated I think. And it is even based on a true historical character!
i didnt know it was based on a historical character! cool. i like that.
