find your inner sleuth in may

hey broads!

i was hunting around my in-laws old bookcase and found some delicious vintage nancy drews and i got so excited i almost called seth aaron and asked him to whip me up this little number:

sorry, i cant get over it. i love it.

so, here's what we are going to read for may: any nancy drew mystery of your choice!

she's all over the local library scene - you should have no trouble finding her. or borders. or if you're the vintage type i got my good friend and nancy lover melissa an original nancy drew vintage cookbook a year ago. check out ebay or half.com for that sweetness.

ok, find your inner sleuth and have fun! we will meet for a nancy style party IN MY BRAND SPANKING NEW APARTMENT at the end of may!

ok, first of all. WONDERFUL CHOICE and i'm so glad you have found some old ones! the ones written before 1958 are the ones i like best because in '58 they did a re-write and calmed nancy down a little (and took out all non-white people in the name of racism awareness...). i bought "the mystery at the ski jump" in maine with a cover that looks just like your blue one.

and second of all, i love the background of this blog. i may steal it for ours. (it wouldn't be obvious or anything.)

have fun with your nancy party! so jealous. and now i get the seth aaron thing.

Over Christmas I discovered that my Granny has that Nancy Drew Cookbook. It's amazing. My Granny wasn't ready to give it up yet.

Ah man! I had a humungous collection of these books in the bookmobile. Sadly it's been towed to town, so I'll have to find one in a for real library...bummer. Great choice. I'm excited, even though I'm a ghost person in this book club...I do always intend on going to the get-togethers, but you know what they say about "good intentions..."
