done and done

well, i finished the chosen today!

it's a library book and it is due tomorrow (feb 3) and so i was determined to read it before we took it back.

i was on like page 30 yesterday morning and i read like 200 pgs. yesterday and finished the rest up today.

wow! what an inspiring book in so many ways! i want to be more of a scholar after reading that- did it make anyone else want to sit at a library and be able to just read book after book and absorb all that knowledge? i was seriously inspired.

i've been in kind of a reading slump lately, and this read-a-thon was the perfect kick in the buns to get reading again.

on to one of my favs- pride and prejudice! great pick kristen and thanks for your pick liko!

Sooooo, if anyone needs an extra copy of Pride and Prejudice, let me know. I just happen to have one in my BOOKMOBILE! I know. It comes in handy once in a while! Oh, and in light of Liko's comment (if I want to choose a read...and because it's on her list on Stephanie's blog) I want to choose The Outsiders because it's awesome, written by a 14-year-old and because it's a RITE OF PASSAGE sort of novel. Let me know if you gals are IN. And I'm serious about the P and P party at my house. We should eat things all Victorian. I don't know what that means, but it sounds good!

But, we could possibly have TWO reads for March because The Outsiders will only take an afternoon to read...that's why I love Young Adult novels! And I have extra copies of that in my bookmobile too...who knew?

i love the outsiders and i love that it was written by a 14 year old as well!! i'm in and im down to read two if you want... whatevers. :)

also, i have P&P in like this BIG "collection of Jane Austen" book and i have read it out of there before but i kinda felt like just having a smaller novel to read so i went to kahuku library today to drop of the chosen (late) and for amby's preschool cuz they were meeting there and they seriously didnt have pride and prejudice..... what kind of library doesnt have it??? maybe it was checked out or something.... so, if thomas doesnt get it from kaneohe library for me tomorrow then i'll have to take you up on your offer megan! :)

Oh, I was thinking that if we wanted to do two books, the other could be "The Giver" because that book rocks too. And I haven't read either in forever, so it would be good to do so. I also have a couple copies of that one in the bookmobile. Good thing my job comes in handy, huh?

haha - we have our own personal librarian!!! i have two copies of the outsiders...don't have the giver, might need to borrow that one, megan. i am excited to read. oh, and i went to the kaneohe library book sale yesterday, and bought like 15 books for a little over $3. and several were hardcover. thanks for letting me know about it, echo. i love books, especially old hardcover ones.
